Famous Poker Players: Kathy Liebert

Well, here's one for all of you male poker players out there who have fantasies about getting between the sheets with hottie female poker players. Among the most gorgeous of the world's famous poker players is Miss Kathy "PokerKat" Liebert. Now, I don't want to get you guys overly excited, but the fact is that this cute, voluptuous blue-eyed blond has 143 career cashes, a World Series of Poker bracelet, and over $4.5 millon in career poker winnings, making her the third-winningest female tournament poker player of all time. Oh, and...she's single.

famous poker players: Kathy LiebertThe PokerKat is also a no-nonsense gal who was a high-powered corporate exec before she found out how much money she could make with her first love--Texas Hold'em. True to that high-powered corporate form, she was the first woman to win a poker tournament with a buy-in of $5000 or greater as well as the first woman to win $1 million in tournament poker (which she did at the inaugural PartyPoker.com Million in 2002). As a matter of fact, she is also an active stock market trader and has a blue belt in karate. Ah, yes, guys, I can hear your growls of desire even now...

The PokerKat was born on October 1st, 1967 in Nashville, Tennessee. She enjoyed playing cards with her parents as a little girl and first got seriously interested in poker at age 12. She spent most of her teenage and early adult years in Long Island, New York and went to Marist College in Poughkeepsie, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance. Soon enough she went to work for Dun & Bradstreet . The corporate life, however, turned out not to be what she hoped it would be; so she quit her job and went traveling. Upon relocating Colorado to do some skiing, she rediscovered her love for poker and began playing weekly in Central City in 1991. She started off as a prop player, but as her skills matured she decided to move on up to the big time in the lights of Las Vegas, where she promptly took $34,000 in tournament prize money.

When the PokerKat won the 2004 World Series of Poker golden bracelet in a $1500 limit Texas Hold 'em Shootout event, she joined Cyndy Violette and Annie Duke as one of the three women to win an open event in that year's WSOP. She took part in 2007's Poker Royale: Battle of the Sexes, and nailed first place. At the June 2008 WSOP, she made it to the Final Table of the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em World Championship and took third place...and over $300,000. (No, guys, I don't have any nude photos of her!)

So, you poker guys, if you're looking for a new pin-up babe, you can have one of the world's famous poker players on your wall...right above your computer, so you can get some inspiration when you play online. Er...or would that distract you?
