Clonie Gowen History, profile, and background

One of the best female poker players is gorgeous "Maxim" men's' magazine feature Clonie Gowen. Cycalona Gowen was, in fact, born during an Oklahoma cyclone in 1971, and she has always been highly competitive. Being one of the world's famous poker players comes with the territory for top hoops and track-and-field athlete Clonie; poker is but her third "sport" at which she excels. At the age of 15 the ravishing beauty won Miss Teen McAlester Oklahoma.

Clonie Gowen was was first introduced to poker by the father of her then boyfriend. She used to travel from Dallas, Texas to Shreveport, Louisiana to see the lucky bastard...uh, I mean, her boyfriend...and she would often go home with more money than she had come with. At the time, she was working as a travel agent and eventually opened up her own travel agency (the competitive spirit never dying down at all in her). But then poker got Texas hold of her.

After Clonie Gowen joined the World Poker Tour Season One tournament for $500 and finished in tenth place in the money and got herself invited to the 2003 World Poker Tour's (WPT's) Ladies Night at the famous Bicycle Casino, where she proceeded to kick butt over poker queens of hearts and diamonds Kathy Liebert, Annie Duke, and Jennifer Harman. She then decided to become a professional poker player.

In 2005 in Las Vegas, Clonie Gowen wound up in third place in the $20,000 No Limit Hold'em FullTiltPoker.Net Championship (she won $99,000 there). She finished 7th in the $2000 No-Limit Hold'em Ultimate Poker Challenge tournament and she wound up 31st with $14,987 in winnings at the $9700 WPT Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Back in Vegas she wound up in fourth place in the Fourth Annual Five Diamond World Poker Classic $2000 No Limit Hold'em event. In 2006, playing at the Full Tilt Poker Pro Showdown the poker babe rolled into third place and took home $120,000.
